Hoping next week will be exciting!

I got the ball rolling for Emma's early intervention last week and they got back to me yesterday. I explained I was concerned about her left foot and I really would like her to start seeing a physical therapist. So I went through the phone interview and hopefully next week they will be coming over to do a full evaluation to see if there is any other area's that they can be helping in. From what I understand she automatically qualifies due to the Spina Bifida, and since she has hydrocephalus that automatically qualifies her for someone to work with her with motor skills if she needs it. She said that for this program that they will being coming to the home for physical therapy. which is exciting and will make my life thousand times easier. Then next week we also have are very first Spina Bifida clinic appointment and Nick thinks he should be able to make it since it's so close to his work.

On a side note: My little guy will be turning 3 on Thursday and it has come all to soon.

Thanks for reading I will update again next week

2 months tomorrow!

So this morning we went to Emma's Pediatrician appointment and it went real well. Emma weighs 10 lbs 2 oz which puts her at 50% percentile and height she is 21 1/2 inch still that puts her at 30% percentile. The doctor was very impressed how well she is doing and was so happy to see how much lower her fontanel's are. She is concerned about her left foot and how its turning in. She said it looked like clubbed foot but is thinking its more of a tension issue and should be able to reverse it with physical therapy. We will be coming back after her appointment at SB clinic 1st week of May and do Paytons 3yr well check up at the same time. That way I can give her any information from sb clinic. I am so ready to get this clinic appointment done and over with and see the people she needs to see I guess more or so the physical therapist but I work with her everyday with the exercises I was given from the physical therapist in the hospital. I want to make sure I am doing everything I can to help her.

7 weeks today!

Yay Emma is 7 weeks today and things are going great! Her back is looking really good and so is her head. She is filling out and getting bigger. Next week will be her pediatrician appointment so we will get to see how much she weighs now. Payton has been doing so good with her and is loving her like a big brother should : )Emma's shunt has been working great and her head is doing a good job regulating the pressure.

Not much more to say will update again next week after doctors appointment but on a small note...
